Project Title:
PCUC-Modifications to Existing Water Treatment Plant

Project Description:
This project consists of much needed modifications to the existing water treatment plant, necessary to alleviate problems which exist currently. This project will improve service to the 6,923 households in the system. The items to be modified include the following: Add an emergency generator (1,000Kv) Addition of sludge removal system. A new filter building with two additional filters and covers for the existing settling basin, with new motor control center. This will provide addition capacity and assist in meeting future and present regulations. Purchase of a motor for backwash pump Replacement of pipe gallery piping (materials only) Flocculation basic drive and paddle rehabilitation Improve Raw Water Intake by Replacing Screen Settling Basin Repair Upgrade with Lamella Settlers and Weirs Sand separator Repair Clearwell DBP Removal System Laboratory Equipment Install parallel or redundant river crossings in the distribution system to maintain water supply to critical infrastructure The Water Treatment Plant is located at 37°40'4.46"N 82°44'36.67"W

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
