Project Title:
Stanton - Water Improvements Project

Project Description:
This project includes the replacement of the paint creek tank and pump station. This will create a higher pressure zone within the service area. Higher elevations currently have lower pressure and this project will help correct that. The pump station will be more energy efficient and will use VFD's for pump control.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The existing tank needs to be full to provide adequate pressure at higher elevations. The existing tank is also aging and in need of replacement to meet and maintain requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act. Replacement of the tank to a higher elevation will provide a new tank and increased pressure in the service area.

Add a hydro pneumatic pump in areas of low pressure, this alternative will not address water quality due to the aging tank.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:

the replacement of pumps and pump controls will include new higher efficiency pumps and VFD controls. a new scada system will be installed to monitor the pumps and tank. light fixtures will be converted to LED (high efficiency) bulbs.
