Project Title:
Owen County Unserved Areas

Project Description:
The project includes extending new water mains to currently unserved areas. The project includes approximately 35,600 linear feet of 4-inch water mains; 22,900 linear feet of 6-inch waters mains; and appurtenances to serve approximately 55 unserved users and provided hydraulic loops in the existing potable water system to add redundancy and improved hydraulics. The project includes water main extensions on Cull Road and Red Oak Road.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
To provide potable water too approximately 55 unserved users and provided hydraulic loops in the existing potable water system to add redundancy and improved hydraulics.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
