Project Title:
Decatur and Goodloe Main Replacements

Project Description:
The City of Bloomfield is proposing to replace approximately 500 L.F. of 3/4-in. existing water line with 4-in. pvc line along Decatur Ave. and approximately 400 L.F. of 2-in. existing line with 6-in. pvc line along Goodloe Ave. to provide more adequate service (volume & pressure) in this area of the City. The project will improve water quality (from age & materials) and reduce maintenance issues with the existing lines.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The proposed project will replace existing lines that are undersized, aged, and deteriorating material. The replacement will improve water quality and pressure in two important residential areas.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
