Project Title:
Central City - Wells Community Water System Improvements

Project Description:
Under current conditions the community of Wells (approximately 40 houses located south of West Kentucky Parkway and east of US 431) is experiencing low water pressure. The area has lines sizes ranging from 3" to 3/4" distribution lines. The project would attempt to alleviate the pressure problems by tapping the MCWD #1 12" line further down the stream and replacing the smaller diameter pipe. This project will install approximately 5,200' of 3"distribution line.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
