Project Title:
Magoffin County Water District - KY 542/1502 and KY 378 Water Project

Project Description:
This is a waterline extension project to serve unserved areas in Magoffin County. The project will install approximately 22215 LF of 3" and 21014 LF of 4" waterline and its appurtenances to provide water service to approximately 55 households along KY 542, KY 1502, and Jake Fork. A pneumatic pump station along KY 1502 will be installed to maintain adequate pressure for customers. This project will also include approximately 6,000 LF of 3” PVC waterline and appurtenance to serve 10 households along KY-378.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
