Project Title:
Beech Grove Water System Storage Tank Addition

Project Description:
This project involves the construction of a new 250,000 gallon water tank to be constructed adjacent to the existing Wrightsburg Hill Tank. Replacement of the existing pump station is also proposed in order to fill the proposed tank and to provide redundancy within the system. Approximately 5,150 feet of new 6" water main is also required along KY 256 in order to provide adequate water supply to the proposed tank. The proposed project will satisfy the requirements of the delinquency notice supplied to Beech Grove by the Public Service Commission on February 22, 2010, which requires that a 24 hour hold period be secured prior to November 30, 2014.

The project will satisfy regulatory requirements for system storage, improve system pressures, and provide much-needed redundancy within the pump station.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
