Project Title:
Coating Inside/Outside of Downtown Water Tower

Project Description:
The city will need to completely drain its downtown water tank in order to re-coat the tank's insides, along with painting and completing minor repairs on the outside of the tank.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The coating on the inside of the city's downtown water tank is beginning to wear off, causing the inside of the tank to oxidize and leach rust into the drinking water supply. The outside of the tank needs to be painted in order to eliminate rust which over time can weaken the structural integrity of the tank.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
