Project Title:
20" Transmission Main Relocate-System Improvements #8

Project Description:
Relocate 500 linear feet of 20" DR-18 C900 waterline on Grimes Road, Purchase 2 acres (4 tracts) of land adjoining our water source and water treatment plant, & install 5,400 linear feet of 8" SDR-17 PVC waterline and fire hydrants on Hawk Creek Road. Alternate 1 will consist of the installation of approximately 2,000 LF of 8-inch PVC waterline along Hawk Creek Road.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
I) The project is needed to replace a section of 20" ductile iron pipe that is constantly leaking due to being installed on top of a coal seam and causing corrosion on the pipe. (II) To purchase land along the shores of our water source (Wood Creek Lake) and protect it from additional contamination and shore erosion. (III) To begin the replacement of aging and undersized waterline on Hawk Creek Road and provide

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
