Project Description:
This project profile summerizes a critical unserved and underserved $982,160 project. This project will include the new Subdistrict I since the original Subdistrict I (WX21117203) became part of Subdistrict G (WX21117004). The Northern Kentucky Water District received $500,000 of State Budget Funding and local funds will be provided to fund the remaining $482,160 necessary to complete the project. 1) The unserved portion of this project includes 2.66 miles of waterline extension to serve 66 households at a project cost of $982,160 The average number of households served per mile for this project is 24.81 per mile. This component will be partially funded by a $30 monthly customer surcharge and will be part of the District's Subdistrict system designated as Subdistrict I. The following streets are part of this project: Jones Road, Taylor Mill Road and Dixon Drive

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
