Project Title:
City of Benham - Water Tank Repair/Replacement

Project Description:
The City of Benham is proposing numerous improvements to their water plant and distribution system. The City has a 200,000-gallon Clearwell and a 350,000-gallon distribution system storage tank that are in dire need of replacement. However, due to conditions of the clearwell emergency repairs are necessary. Therefore, the clearwell tank will be repaired and when more funds are available the city will proceed with 3-phase construction project. Phase I will construct a new 250,00 gallons clearwell tank and remove the existing 200,000-gallon clearwell tank - $550,000 (repairs have been Completed) Phase II will install a new high service pump and PRV station and remove the old high service pump -$683,500. Phase III will involve improvements to the WTP with new control valves, instrumentation, office enclosure, new raw water intake structure, flume, wet well, pumps and controls - $229,581. Total of all three phases - $1,463,081.

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
