Project Title:
Green-Taylor Water District--Line Extensions to Improve Flow

Project Description:
The project will improve public water service to a significant amount of current customers (1500) served by the Green-Taylor Water District, while adding a level of redundancy for their water supply. The district will be replacing problems lines within their system. This will allow for the district to reduce water loss and provide a better service to their current customers. Major line replacement will take place along KY Highway 88, US 68, and Hodgenville Road. Along with the improvements to their current infrastructure, the District will also extend lines to serve areas of Green County that do not currently have public water service. The district will serve 30 new households with the creation of loops and extended service on Carl Blaydes Road, Keltner Road, Pierce Thurlough Road, JT Russell Road and VD Milby Road. Along with serving new households, the loops and added service connections will reduce DBPs.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
