Project Title:
Fredonia - New Caldwell County WD Interconnection

Project Description:
This project will install approximately 4,800 LF of 6" PVC from the existing Caldwell County Water District line on the East side of Fredonia near the Hwy 70 and Hwy 91 intersection. The line will extend down Garner Street, Grove Street, and E and W Shelby Street to connect to the City's only water tank. The project will also include a master meter to be maintained by the Caldwell County Water District. This project will provide a backup source to Fredonia in the event of a water supply emergency.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The City needs a backup water supply in the event of a water supply emergency after experiencing the effects of Marion's water supply emergency and the importance of making cost efficient water interconnects. The main line feeding the City of Fredonia from the City of Eddyville is aging and the City has fixed numerous leaks on that line in recent years.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
