Project Title:
Caldwell County Water District - U.S. Hwy 62 Area Water System Improvements

Project Description:
This project consists of the replacement of approximately 35,489 LF of six inch, and 21,154 LF of four inch waterlines and appurtenances. This replacement will occur along US 62, Stallins Rd., Orange Rd, Lance Nichols Cemetery Rd, Lewiston Church Rd, Longbreak Rd, and St Rt 1627.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The existing lines are approximately 27 years old and were joined by solvent welding. These joints are failing on a regular basis resulting in interruptions of service, water loss, and increased maintenance and repair.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
