Project Title:
Harned Pump Station Replacement

Project Description:
The proposed project includes replacement of an existing water booster pump station at Harned in the Hardinsburg Water System and extension of 4" waterlines approximately 13,000 lf. on Morton Brown Rd. and Brown's Hideaway Road to serve approximately 60 unserved households. The booster station is near the end of its useful life and often operates at maximum capacity during peak demand. The existing pumps will be replaced with newer, more efficient models.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The existing pump station is at the end of its useful life and runs at maximum capacity continuously during peak demand periods. A new pump station is needed to be able to efficiently serve the existing customers and new customers from the small extension.
