Project Title:
GWC- Lead Service Line Inventory Project

Project Description:
For the purposes of identifying possible lead service lines, we would like to purchase a vac truck. This would allow Glasgow Water Company to complete to LCRR in house and in the most efficient manner. LCRR requires an inventory of all service lines to be completed by October 2024. GWC has gone through and eliminated approximately 10,000 service lines through records research and field identification. However, approximately 10,000 service lines are unknown. We have been hydroexcavating these unknowns, but this is too large of a demand for our existing vac truck. In addition, our truck is too cumbersome to work in the City. Purchasing a new vac truck would allow us to identify all of our unknowns by the October submittal. We have created a SOP for our inventory collection and have shared this SOP with DOW and can share it with KIA.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The identification of Lead Service Lines is not only compulsory by the EPA and their federal deadlines approaching as soon as 2024, and another in 2026, but betters the health of Barren County residents.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
