Project Title:
Glasgow Water Improvement - 24 Inch Transmission Line to Haywood (Phase 4 of 6)

Project Description:
This project will construct approximately 18,800 feet of 24 inch water transmission line from the existing 24 inch transmission line located at Old Scottsville Loop #2 Road to Haywood and approximately 20,900 feet of 24 inch water transmission line from the proposed 24 inch transmission line to be located at Haywood to a proposed tank site at Grandview Ave. Note: This combines previously approved projects into a single project that will accomplish the goals of each project.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
This project will increase delivery capabilities from the Barren River Water Treatment Plant. The increased transmission capacity will service the Glasgow Water Company Distribution System and the interconnections with 4 wholesale water utility companies.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
