Project Title:
City of Scottsville - WTP Improvements 22

Project Description:
The project includes: - installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs) on the high service pumps - raw water intake pumps and backwash water pumps at the City's WTP - removal and replacement of nine valve actuators in the filter pipe gallery - sand blasting of the pipe gallery - as- needed repainting or replacing of needed pipe within in the pipe gallery - rehabilitation and/or replacement of the clarifier equipment/mechanisms and piping - rehabilitation of the clearwell interior surfaces at the WTP. - a 400kW generator with 800-amp automatic transfer switch

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The filter pipe gallery, clarifier and clearwell facilities have aged and need to be rehabilitated and/or repaired to be able to provide improved water quality to the customers and promote public health.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
