Project Title:
Old KY 231 Water Line Replacement

Project Description:
This project will replace the existing 8-inch water main along Bowling Green Road. This section of water main has been a source of several significant failures due to the pipe material. This project will replace the existing 8-inch water main with a new 10-inch PVC water main. The project will include approximately 14 connections to existing branch water mains on side roads, approximately 100 meters and other appurtenances. Water Line Replacement includes 43,300LF of 10-inch PVC, 100LF of 6-inch PVC, 100LF of 4-inch PVC, and 100LF of 3-inch PVC.

The section of water main has had several significant failures due to the pipe material and has led to significant water loss.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
