Project Title:
Sunnybrook Development Sewer Line Extension

Project Description:
This project proposes to extend sewer service to the Sunnybrook area by constructing a new sewer main along Triplett Creek, adjacent to US 60 in Morehead, Kentucky to serve approximately 135 residences. The sewer extension will end at proposed Lift Station #1 (38° 13' 9.313" N, 83° 23' 12.868" W) and flow in a southwesterly direction to an existing manhole on Dillon Drive (38° 12' 10.40" N, 83° 24' 18.63" W). In addition to the sewer main to be constructed along Triplett Creek, gravity sewer line will be extended to three mobile home parks (east of US 60) and two housing developments (Eastwood Heights and Bramblewood Lane, west of US 60) that will tie-in to the proposed sewer main. The project will include approximately 8,574 LF of 8" PVC gravity sewer, 3,999 LF of 2" HDPE force main, and 2,707 LF of 4" HDPE force main. Additionally, two lift stations will be constructed. Lift Station #1 (38° 13' 9.313" N, 83° 23' 12.868" W), having a proposed capacity of 20 GPM, will be at the end of the sewer line extension near the future Sunnybrook Development. Lift Station #2 (38° 12' 28.471" N, 83° 23' 54.586" W), having a proposed capacity of 110 GPM, will be constructed near the center of the sewer line extension. It is estimated that 29 manholes will be installed along the 8" gravity sewer line.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
Project will serve approximately 135 unserved households in congested areas such as mobile home parks and the Bramblewood Lane and Eastwood Wood Heights subdivision. In addition to provide sewer services to previously unserved areas, this project will also develop necessary infrastructure to the the future Sunnybrook Development on US 60 which will create an additional 100 jobs in the area.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:

Energy efficiency is the use of improved technologies and practices to reduce the energy consumption of water projects, use energy in a more efficient way, and/or produce/utilize renewable energy. Examples include:
