Project Title:
Boone Village Wastewater Collection System

Project Description:
Installation of approximately 7,704 LF of gravity sewers, thirty-nine manholes, one submersible pump stations and approximately 4,700 LF of 4' diameter force main to collect and transport the wastewater from 70 residences and 1 commercial establishment to the existing NMCSD system. This flow will ultimately be treated at the District's Regional WWTP. Currently, this subdivision has only on site (septic tanks) treatment and during the summer sewerage has been reported to run on top of the ground and in ditch lines. This sewerage and odor is quite a nuisance and health hazard for the residents and their children that live in this area.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
