Project Title:
Phase I Sewer Project (Junction City to Moreland Area)

Project Description:
The proposed project will provide wastewater collection and treatment to approximately 445 residential and commercial customers in the western portion of Lincoln County. Additionally this project will provide 200 failing septic tank eliminations and 99 raw sewage discharge eliminations. This is including, but not limited to, homes and businesses along US 127 starting South of Junction City and proceeding to the Moreland area. Current sewer disposal consists of a combination of septic tanks and straight pipes, resulting in direct discharges of raw sewage of septic tank effluent to the ground surface. Involved is the construction of approximately: 53,035 LF of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer 15,640 LF of 8" force main 13,664 LF of 6-inch HDPE force main 121 standard 4' manholes 2 pumping stations together with other accouterments. Each of the project beneficiaries is a customer of the Hustonville water system and each would become a Lincoln County Sanitation District sewer customer upon completion of the project. Sewage treatment will be provided by the City of Danville. "green" project: there will be a SCADA system installed in the pump stations.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
