Project Title:
WTP Residuals Force Main and WRF Storage Tanks

Project Description:
The WTP Solids FM, Pumping, and Storage Project is to improve treatment capacity by 4.5+ MGD at the WRF by isolating and removing the WTP solids or residuals from our collection system and treatment process. Install 5700 LF of Residuals Forcemain Install Residuals storage Tanks at WRF *Integrate new Residuals process with WRF and WTP This will alleviate the treatment load in our SBR process. We will also resolve future possibility of overloading our gravity sewer system currently being used to carry these residuals. This freed up capacity is of great value, especially when considering the immediate and future growth in the Bowling Green/Warren County area.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The project will meet the needs of the BGMU WRF by increasing treatment capacity to meet the projected daily flows of the region when considering new industries currently under construction in the Transpark. The projected flows will likely surpass the treatment capacity of the plant within 2 years. Innovation in our delivery and treatment process of WTP residuals is the most economical, expedient, and efficient method of increasing the WRF capacity at this time.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:

Energy efficiency is the use of improved technologies and practices to reduce the energy consumption of water projects, use energy in a more efficient way, and/or produce/utilize renewable energy. Examples include:
