Project Title:
City of Brodhead - WWTP Upgrade and Improvement

Project Description:
The City of Brodhead would like to be considered for an engineering planning and design loan for their WWTP expansion. The project description is described as follows: This project will include the expansion of the treatment facilities from 150,000 gallons per day capacity to 300, 000 gallons per day, new and improved treatment processes to achieve existing permit requirements and future nutrient removal permit requirements, along with solids dewatering and handling facilities. The project will also include a new wet weather pump station and force main and a new flow equalization tank, and improvements to the Rose's 1 Stop pump station.

The new facility will eliminate overflows in the collection system and will provide adequate treatment to meet effluent limits.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
