Project Title:
US 460 Sewer Line Extension

Project Description:
This project proposes to extend sewer line service along US 460, east of the City of Frenchburg. Approximately 5,500 LF of 3" PVC force main will be installed to connect to an existing City of Frenchburg 4" force main. The project will also install a new lift station with an approximate capacity of 60 GPM. The possibility of up to five residential customers could be served as well. The extension of the sewer line service will serve an area of Menifee County that will house a new Menifee County Elementary (K-8) School.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
Provide public sewer service to a new Menifee County Elementary (K-8) School, which will serve approximately 825 users daily.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:

Energy efficiency is the use of improved technologies and practices to reduce the energy consumption of water projects, use energy in a more efficient way, and/or produce/utilize renewable energy. Examples include:
