Project Title:
Adairville Wastewater Treatment Plant Modifications and Improvements

Project Description:
The City of Adairville is initiating a project to modernize its wastewater treatment plant for enhanced efficiency and compliance. The project includes replacing blowers, improving headworks, rehabilitating aeration basins, constructing a new basin, upgrading pump stations, replacing aeration equipment, adding aeration headers, and improving sludge drying beds. Additionally, the city will install high-efficiency motors, SCADA, and VFDs, cybersecurity bolstering mediums on their network, and upgrade lighting. The project extends to rehabilitating the North lift station near Old Russellville Loop with energy-efficient pumps, VFDs, and SCADA for improved performance. These upgrades aim to ensure compliance, optimize treatment processes, and bolster environmental sustainability.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The WWTP is entering into an agreed order with the Kentucky Division of Enforcement due to violations at their WWTP. These improvements and additions are needed to achieve compliance with the agreed order as well as meet the wastewater facilities KPDES discharge permit.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
