Project Title:
Windhaven Drive Sewer Low Pressure Collection System

Project Description:
Windhaven business Park is a small commercial/professional area located on windhaven drive in Northern Jessamine County, adjacent to the Fayette County line. The business Park consists of six buildings which are currently on holding tanks. This project proposes to construct a low pressure, grinder pump collection system and connect the existing office buildings to the collection system which in turn will transport the wastewater material to the Lexington-Fayette Urban county government system for treatment. This business Park is located within the north Jessamine sewer service area which under the interlocal agreement between Lexington-Fayette Urban county government and Jessamine South Elkhorn Water District provides for treatment via Lexington-Fayette Urban county government of generated sewage in this area.

Wastewater collection system would allow for the abandonment of existing septic systems and inherent health hazards.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
