Project Title:
Lancaster Wastewater Collection System Rehab Project

Project Description:
Rehabilitation project for the Lancaster Wastewater Collection System. The project proposes the rehabilitation or replacement of over 29,000 feet of gravity sewer and 149 manholes in various portions of the system identified as high I and I areas. Trenchless technologies will be used in order to reduce cost. Rehab of the Hill Court Lift Station will also be included as part of the project.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
Portions of the collection system are comprised of vitrified clay pipe that is aging and failing resulting I and I which is overloading the receiving lift stations. The lines contributing to the overloaded lift stations have been cleaned and camera inspection has been performed. There are numerous offsets, cracks, gushing infiltrators, blockages, etc.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:

Energy efficiency is the use of improved technologies and practices to reduce the energy consumption of water projects, use energy in a more efficient way, and/or produce/utilize renewable energy. Examples include:
