Project Title:
Garth Hollow Sewer line Extension

Project Description:
This project seeks to re purpose an abandoned force main that extends from the old Garth Hollow landfill. This existing line is within easy connection distance of 43 residences. The city seeks to convert the force main to us a residential pressure sewer and expand its customer base with a small capital outlay.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The City of Martin seeks to expand its sewer customer base to achieve economy of scale in operation of sanitary sewer and collection system. This will eliminate failing sewers.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
