Project Title:
Olive Hill: Oxidation Ditch Upgrade and Electrical Repairs

Project Description:
Project to add two gear boxes with motors to the second shaft of the oxidation ditch; repair shaft and existing gear boxes. This project will also install a new aerator and mixing system. System is currently conducting a feasibility study to determine the extent of work needed to the oxidation ditch and aerator/mixing system.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
Both shafts for the oxidation ditch are connected to the two existing gear boxes and motors. The shaft nearest the gear boxes is twisted causing the second shaft to not engage. Failure of the existing gear boxes will bring down the entire oxidation ditch.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
