Project Title:
Camps Landing Pump Station Rehab

Project Description:
With current and projected growth at the previous Kyova Mall, now Camps Landing, it is expected that the current pump station is incapable of handling the projected flow. With the addition of the quarter horse track and casino, this area is expected to become an economic center for the greater Ashland area. Refitting this pump station to handle the additional flow is necessary to the success of this area.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
With projected flows increasing, a refit of this pump station with more powerful motors and higher flow will be necessary to prevent backups.

Add a below-ground storage tank to prevent backup of flow.  The storage tank can be pumped out during times of lower flow to prevent it from reaching capacity.  This is not ideal as there is a likelihood that sewage in tank could turn septic.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
