Project Title:
Middlesboro - "y" Road Sewer Extension/Whitmer Industrial Park

Project Description:
This project is proposed to be constructed in phases. Phase 1 is proposed to provide the Whitmer site with sanitary sewer services by extending the existing system. The project involves approximately 1,200 feet of 4"PVC force main; as well as a new sewage lift station, an additional 750 LF of 8" gravity to be installed when client is secured in the Park. Phase two proposes sewer to the residents in the "Y" Road area. This phase involves approximately 4,200 LF of 8" gravity and 1,500 LF of 4" and one pump station.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
