Project Title:
NE Woodford Co WD - Improvements

Project Description:
1. The Big Sink BPS Replacement project will replace the current aging BPS with a new station that has up to date controls and SCADA. 2. The Sugar Hill Road Extension project will result in the construction of .9 mile distribution system extension in northeast Woodford County, serving 2 unserved households. (Previously wx21239009) 3. The Old Frankfort Pike Reconstruction project will reconstruct approximately 5000 LF of existing undersized water main along old Frankfort pike. The project will affect approximately 50 underserved users. The total cost of this portion is expected to be $60,000. (Previously wx21239031)

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
1. The existing BPS is the primary source of supply for the Water District and has reached the end of its design life and is in danger of ailing. Telemetry is no longer maintained by the manufacturer. 2. Removes potential health Hazard from district service area 3. Allows looped service to underserved areas.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
