Project Title:
Monroe County Water District - New Regional Water Treatment Plant and Water System Improvements

Project Description:
Project involves the construction of 1 new water intake, 1 new 600,000 Gallon water tank, 1 new 2.0 MGD water treatment plant, rehab of the County House pump station, and construction of 27,900 LF 10" Finished, 24,650 LF 16" Finished, 7'900 LF 16' Raw. transmission line.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
The need for a more abundant source and a higher quality of raw water has started the process of going to the Cumberland River that is the major distribution point for the water district. Edmonton Water Works, Cumberland County Water District and Fountain Run have provided commitment letters to purchase water from the system. The existing source, utilized by the City of Tompkinsville, is at capacity.
