Project Title:
City of Crab Orchard - J & V Lane New Water Line

Project Description:
Lay approximately 4200' of new 6" PVC water line and appurtenances; also, set nine new meters along the route of the water line.

Need For Project: Briefly describe how this project promotes public health or achieves and/or maintains compliance with the Clean Water Act or Safe Drinking Water Act:
Currently, each customer has laid their own small service line to the main road (KY 39). This provides inadequate service, poor quality water and unsafe conditions. This new arrangement shall eliminate these poor/unhealthy conditions.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
