Project Title:
Mortons Gap - Sewer System Rehabilitation Project

Project Description:
This project will conduct an SSES study as the first preliminary phase, followed by a construction phase(s) to rehabilitate the city's sewer system. The SSES phase will include smoke testing, cctv of sewer mains, manhole inspections, and flow monitoring. The construction phase will include pipe bursting of approximately 7,500 LF of 8-inch sewer line PVC and replacement of approximately 5,000 LF of 8-inch PVC. In addition to the line work, the project will include capping approximately 20 service laterals that have been abandoned, lining of approximately 30 manholes affected by Hydro Sulfuric deterioration, and replacement of 10 manholes. Lift station work includes replacing all check valves and plug valves at all 6 of the City's lift stations, sealing of inlet inverts, replacing pumps and/ or panels, and relocating bioxide feed system from the main lift station to the "Y" lift station. There are two grinder pumps in the system that will have pump and panel replaced.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
