Project Title:
Middlesboro: Noetown Sewer Rehab/Binghamtown PS Rehab

Project Description:
The City of Middlesboro is proposing to rehab a portion of their existing sewer collection system. The Noetown area of Middlesboro currently experiences very high infiltration/Inflow during wet periods of weather. The City is proposing to use slip lining and pipe bursting to repair the area's problem sewer lines. In addition to the rehab of the Newtown Collection System, the City proposes to rehab the Binghamtown Sewage Lift Station, one of their main sewage lift stations in the collection system.

Green Infrastructure:

Green stormwater infrastructure includes a wide array of practices at multiple scales that manage wet weather and that maintains and restores natural hydrology by infiltrating, evapotranspiring and harvesting and using stormwater. On a regional scale, green infrastructure is the preservation and restoration of natural landscape features, such as forests, floodplains, and wetlands, coupled with policies such as infill and redevelopment that reduce overall imperviousness in a watershed. On the local scale, green infrastructure consists of site and neighborhood-specific practices, such as:

Water Efficiency:

The use of improved technologies and practices to deliver equal or better services with less water. Water efficiency encompasses conservation and reuse efforts, as well as water loss reduction and prevention, to protect water resources for the future. Examples include:
